With the continuous vaccination drive now underway and millions of vaccines from Pfizer, Moderna and Aztrazeneca are expected to arrive around the second quarter of this year. The Philippines are now eyeing the vaccination of the general public in August to solve our Covid-19 problems. According to vaccine czar Carlito Galvez, to achieve herd immunity, the government needs to vaccinate 500,000 people a day. Currently, the country is vaccinating between 34,000 to 44,000 people a day.?
In the race to fight the pandemic, the attention so far focuses on the scientific advancements and effectiveness of the vaccine but less attention to the logistical hurdles. A good immunization program highly depends on effective vaccine distribution and roll-out.
